Moscow Borough's Centennial 1908-2008
Moscow Borough is currently celebrating its 100th year. The Centennial Committee has planned many activities for the general public and North Pocono Community to join us in celebrating this event. Anyone interested in assisting with these events can contact the Borough Office at 842-1699. For further information please contact the Borough Office, watch for information in The Villager, The Scranton Times, on the Borough’s memo board outside the building, in the July 2008 newsletter, or at local businesses.
The next Centennial Committee meeting will be held on July 24, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. and will meet on the last Thursday of each month for the remainder of the year. The public is invited to join the committee.
July 25 – The deadline for the “Images of Moscow” photo contest has been extended
due to the fact that the Centennial Committee and the North Pocono Cultural Society are working on a fundraiser calendar for the year 2009 in conjunction with The Villager.
August 5 – National Night Out
The next two meetings of the National Night Out Committee will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 and Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., immediately following the Centennial Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome!
National Night Out 2008 will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. We are again encouraging everyone to hold block parties on Monday, August 4, 2008.
