MOSCOW BOROUGH’S SIXTH ANNUAL NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
AUGUST 4, 2009 - 3:00 P.M. TO 10:00 P.M.

“Lights on Means Lights Out For Crime” – Residents and businesses are asked to have “lights on” to show their support for crime prevention on August 4th by really lighting up their homes or place of business.  An award will be given for the “best lit” house!

Announcement of Poster & Essay Contest Winners: Elise Hanna (display of posters and essays)

TRICKY TRAYS: ITEMS DONATED BY LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS WILL BE LOCATED AT THE MOSCOW BOROUGH BUILDING TO BE RAFFLED OFF.  TO BE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE RAFFLE YOU MUST VISIT THE OPEN BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS MARKED WITH AN ASTERICK (*) TO  RECEIVE FREE RAFFLE TICKETS.  THE MORE PLACES YOU VISIT THE MORE TICKETS YOU WILL HAVE TO ENTER.  WINNERS WILL BE PICKED ON WEDNESDAY, 8/5/09 AND NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE.

Saint Catherine’s Church

Brief Ecumenical Prayer Service and Music:  St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Moscow United Methodist Church, North Pocono Bible Baptist Church. Following the service there will be a candlelight walk with church bells ringing to Centennial Park escorted by the Moscow Borough Police Department and Moscow Volunteer Fire/EMS personnel.
